clickbrick keeps a moment as the decisions that made it: a photograph becomes a relief in genuine LEGO® bricks - what stood out raised, what fell away recessed, what it was made of read into the parts - built by hand, bonded, and hung.

A print keeps the information and none of the judgement; every pixel weighs the same. A painting keeps the judgement and hides it; a stroke is the painter's language. A video keeps a sequence, so no frame has to carry anything. A relief in brick keeps one frame as thousands of legible decisions - this mould, this colour, this height - in the material everyone already reads, and it shows its work: every piece carries the record of what it was made of.

The studio designs, builds, certifies and sells. The works in the collection are one-of-ones, numbered in the order they were hung; a piece that sells stays on the wall marked sold and is never made again. Anyone can bring a photograph of their own: the studio composes the piece and proposes it, priced, before anything is decided. Artists bring an image and sell under their own name, built and hung, from a room of their own. How a photograph becomes a piece is the process.
