Terms of Service

clickbrick™ is operated by Clickbrick LLC, a Nevada limited liability company ("the studio," "we," "us"). By using clickbrick.studio, placing an order, or opening a room, you agree to these Terms. Part A is for everyone who buys; Part B is for artists whose work the studio shows and sells.

Part A - Buying

1. What the studio sells. Two kinds of object, each stated on its listing and your order. (a) A commission kit: from a photograph you own, the studio's machine composes an original design and, on purchase, assembles your kit - the new, genuine LEGO® elements your piece needs, a printed build book made for your piece alone, and wall-mounting hardware. You build the piece yourself. A kit is a physical product, not a digital file, and it is never shown in the collection: it is yours alone. (b) A work from the collection: a finished work that already exists - built by the studio's hand, or, where its listing says so, by the artist's own - sold assembled and shipped ready to hang. A work is unique, or one of a numbered edition whose cap is declared before the edition opens and never reopens. (c) The composition is free: the studio composes your photograph in brick and shows it to you. A composition is not a purchase and creates no obligation on either side; the studio may limit how many it composes in a day.

2. Made to order; final sale. A commission kit is produced specifically for your order and production begins after purchase. A work from the collection is a final sale once it ships. Cancellation, inspection, remakes and refunds are governed by our Refund & Remake Policy, which is part of these Terms and is stated on every listing before you buy.

3. Pricing and payment. Prices are shown in USD. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details. Prices may change at any time, but a change never affects an order already placed. Sales tax is charged where the law requires it.

4. Shipping, insurance and risk. We ship to the address you provide and you are responsible for its accuracy. Every shipment is insured by the studio, and risk of loss stays with the studio until the object is delivered to you. A signature may be required for delivery of a work. If a shipment is lost or damaged in transit, the studio resolves it with you directly under the Refund & Remake Policy; you never deal with a carrier or an insurer.

5. Your photograph. By uploading an image you confirm, as you affirm at every upload, that you own it or hold the rights to use it, that it does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights, and that it is not unlawful or offensive. You keep ownership of what you upload and grant the studio a limited licence to use it to compose, produce and support your order. We may decline or cancel any order whose content we believe violates these Terms or anyone's rights.

6. What you own. When you buy a work from the collection you own the physical object. The copyright in the work stays with its artist (or the studio); you may display and resell the object, but you may not reproduce it, make copies or derivatives, or use it commercially. The design composed for a commission kit is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use on purchase. The clickbrick name, site, renders, build books and software are the studio's.

Part B - Artists and rooms

7. Rooms open by invitation. A room is a page of this site that carries an artist's name and no one else's work. Rooms open by invitation or juried application, never by open upload, and belong to public identities: your name or working name, linked to where your audience already knows you.

8. Two ways a room fills. (a) From an image: you made a photograph, painting or other image, or hold its licence in writing; the studio composes it in brick, shows you every render until you and the studio both sign off, then builds and sells the finished work under your name. (b) From a design file: you designed the work in brick and submit the design file - .ldr or .io - and your own build notes; the studio verifies it, prices it, builds it, and sells the finished work, or lists a capped edition of it, under your name. Each way is governed by the agreement you sign for it; the studio builds everything it sells.

9. Your attestation. Before anything is reviewed you attest, per piece, that you made the original or hold its licence in writing, that it copies no franchise, character or official set, and that you have the right to grant what the agreement grants. The attestation is versioned and recorded with its time. It includes, as a disclosed standard term, that the studio may analyse the files and originals you submit to improve how it composes, verifies and builds work - never to sell them, and never to show your unreleased work publicly without your sign-off.

10. The agreements govern. A piece lists only under a signed agreement - the licence to fabricate and sell - countersigned by the studio. Where an agreement and these Terms differ, the agreement prevails for that piece. Copyright in your work stays yours; you may sell your work anywhere else; you may withdraw a piece from future builds by email, and pieces already sold stand.

11. Price and share. The studio states the object's cost - bricks, book, frame, packing, fulfilment - as one number before anything lists. That cost is the floor and is never yours to cover. You set the list price at or above the floor; your share is what stands above the cost, stated as one number before you agree to list. Editions are capped by you before they open and never reopen.

12. Payment to you. Your share is paid through Stripe within 7 days after the buyer's inspection window closes on a delivered work. Stripe collects the identity and tax information the law requires directly from you; the studio never holds it. Taxes on your share are your responsibility. Where a work sells outside the United States, the same rail and the same window apply.

13. What the studio carries. The buyer deals with the studio, never with you: payment, insurance, packing, delivery and the guarantee behind every shipment. A failed build, a transit loss or a refund is the studio's risk under your agreement, never yours.

Part C - Everyone

14. Accounts and conduct. Keep your sign-in to yourself and tell us if it is compromised. Do not scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the site, or use it to infringe anyone's rights.

15. Disclaimers. The site and the studio's renders are provided "as is." A render is the studio's best likeness of a physical object made of bricks; small differences in colour and finish between a screen and the object are not defects. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties.

16. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the studio's total liability for any claim relating to an order, a listing or the site is limited to the amount paid for the order at issue (or, for an artist, the share paid or payable on the piece at issue). We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.

17. Indemnification. You agree to indemnify the studio against any claim, loss or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from content or work you submit - including any claim that it infringes another party's intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights - or from your breach of these Terms or an agreement.

18. Versions and changes. These Terms are versioned. The version in force when you place an order, or sign an agreement, governs that order or agreement; we record which version you accepted. We may publish a new version at any time; continued use after publication is acceptance of it for what comes after.

19. Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
